THE Story

So last night for my 21st birthday I was told that I was going to dinner at my favorite place in Vegas called Lakes, I was getting into the car and saw a birthday present from Derrick, I picked it up but he told me i couldn't have it yet, we were running late for our reservations so i figured after dinner he'd have me open it, we make the long drive and as we are getting out of the car and he locks the doors and confirms it with a second beep he tells me to open it. I open it and he goes ok, so you can read...but as soon as it gets to the ...... you have to stop and wait for me to tell you when to continue. the front of the book has a picture Ruby drew for us...and i began to read.......

THE Story

William Young + Marina Rye Meyers

Chapter 1: The Entrance

The shutting of the car's door and the twice beeping horn echoed throughout the large familiar garage. As they walked toward the double glass doors he handed her a small black foulder. Instantly she clasped the folder and flipped it open revealing several papers, with small black print.
'Read it, but stop each time you see the repeated periods,' he said with a small smile. 'I'll tell you when to continue from those sections.'
She was unsure what to think or how to react to this unusual situation, 'Is he crazy? What is he up to?' were a few of the many questions that sped through her mind.
As she looked down at the paper and began to read he reached down and pulled the large silver handle of one of the two glass doors. The door didn't budge; he was confused for a moment but realized, as he had done several times before, and as the small sign read on the door to "push."
At the sign of his once more repeated mistake she gave a small grin and roller her eyes, but continued to read. As he guided the way through the long white walled hallway, his mind ran rampant. He thought of all of his feeling for this girl. All the times they had spent together all the long conversations they shared. They were always perfectly in sync with each other. They had many of the same idiosyncrasies, like always grabbing the second or third cup from off the stack at seven eleven, or when the same random idea would pop into their heads at the exact same moment.

They had now passed through the second set of glass doors and were crossing a long outdoor balcony that sat outside of the familiar hotel that they just referred to as "Lakes." The outside was warm and small lights that were attached to the buildings off the balcony gleamed in the dark night.
As he continued to lead the way he took a deep breath as his mind raced on. His life had always been filled with chaos, it was always wild, and he always tired to help out and tried to make thisgs better for his family and friends. The problem with this was that he was used to bottling up his own problems, plus trying to take on everyone else's as well. This had the potential to eat him up alive, but he had never found anyone that he felt secure enough to confide in, that is, until he met her.
No matter what chaos was happening, or how long a string of bad luck seemed to last. He could handle it, just knowing that he was with her, knowing that she was there for him. She made his life so much better that, no matter what problem lay in his path he knew he'd overcome it..........

So that is chapter one...there are three chapters in the book, this book was for me, so I am sure it isnt as special to anyone else but me... It was crazy how perfect the timing worked out, because we happened to walk through the glass doors as i was reading about the glass doors, I don't know if anyone wants to read the rest of the book, or if they just want to see the picts...so I will post the picts and then you let me know if you want the rest of the story....

That's so fun. Very creative/lot of work for him! Which picture that Ru drew? I remember her doing it I just can't remember what it looked like. You'll have to bring the book up. I'm so happy for you! Love you!
